Reed shows excellent properties for sustainable noise absorption. It is a renewable material with unique physical properties. Reed will be used for noise absorbing parts in the Noise Protection Barrier System.

It has a long history of being employed for outdoor applications (e.g. for roofing where it is exposed to the full range of climatic conditions). It maintains its geometric form in wet and shed water conditions efficiently over a long period of time. Furthermore it effectively absorbs sound.

Those properties led to the decision to use reed for noise absorbing parts.
